a muzzle velocity greater than 1200 FPS. This means that if you go to
cabela's and buy the bargin Sporting Clays loads, you will NOT be allowed
to use them.
We have 12ga. Trap Loads for sale for your convenience. The price is such as to allow us to break even. - Patterning Board
- We have a roll of paper for us on the patterning board. you will generally not need a piece more than a yard long. Please don't think taht its cost is about like toliet tissue and pull of more than you need, just because it is there. Same goes for the stapler. If you use it, please put it back when you're done. If you appreciate this little service, donate a buck to offset the costs.
- Refreshments
- The coffee and the soda pop are available for your convenience. Please play fair and donate, otherwise, you maygo for a coffee or a soda and find that there is none. This IS NOT intended to be a for profit operation, and I can assure you that it hasn't turned out to be one.
- Who Does the Work
- The trap range is operated ty a committee. There are four teams of
two persons each, plus one substitute; who donate their time and labor
to make this place work. Some of the committee members spend more time
and effor on this job than you do on your employment.
Please don't show up at 20 minutes to closing time and expet to shoot as much as you want. Our volunteers have a life to, and would very much appreciate getting home to their families.
For your information, these committee members are all volunteers. They get paid the same as you do... NOTHING!! It might be nice if you said "Thanks" once in a while.
Approximately five times a year, you will see a large truck near the target storage shed. When you do, don't run away and hide until it leaves. Get off your dead butt and onto your dying feet and help unload it (it being the truck). It is an easy job if everyone does their part. - Safety
- Safety is our first and last concern. Keep all guns pointed down range at all times. Put one shell in the gun at a time, unless you are shooting doubles targets. NEVER change statiosn with a live shell in your gun. DO NOT go on the line, without hearing or eye protection. It is not allowed.
- Inexperienced
- If you are new to shooting or new to your gun, don't try to BS anyone
that you know what you are doing. It is advised taht you sit down and
watch and listen to se how the "game is played." If you have
questions regarding your gun, ask one of the workers. If they don't
have answer, it is almost as sure thing someone in attendance will have
it.
If you want some help, just ask. Our lady committee chairman is very likely the best instructor that this game has seen. Talk to her, she will arrange a time for you to get the help you need. - Alcohol & Drugs
- Dont show up after drinking or using some other drug. If you do, the Welcome Mat will be jerked out from under your feet. AND please don't bring any alcohol or drugs on the grounds ... is is VERBOTEN!!
- The Welcome Mat
- Tri-County Sportsmens' League is a private club. Even so, you are always welcome even if you are not a member. The welcome will continue as long as you are a Lady/Gentlemen. Our membership consists of about 1000 real nice friendly people and a few "Old Grouches." Try to copy your actions after the nice ones. If you can't bring yourself to do that ... please leave before one of the Old Grouches tells you in no uncertain terms to "hit the road."
